Travel arrangements
We are pleased to inform you that as an AFI member, your travel expenses related to the conference will be covered. We kindly ask you to book your flight and provide the Conference Secretariat with your flight details so that we can arrange all transfers for you. AFI is reimbursing round trip economy flights (most direct route) in total or the equivalent rate to any other flight you are going to book. Please note that reimbursements can only be arranged after the conference against original voucher / flight ticket / boarding pass. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for any further assistance.
Accommodation
We are pleased to inform you that as an AFI member you will stay at the Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club, which is also the conference venue. Your accommodation costs will be covered by AFI up to 4 nights. We are pleased to arrange reservations for you and therefore kindly ask for your flight details.

Transfers
There will be an AFI help desk at the airport that welcomes you in Nairobi. Please inform the Conference Secretariat about your arrival time: gpf2009@afi-global.org

Accommodation & Transfer
We are pleased to inform you that we have made reservations at the TRIBE hotel with a special conference rate at US$ 200 per night. It is located a few minutes away from the conference venue. Please note that we kindly ask you to do your own booking using the conference code “AFI Global Policy Forum” up to four weeks before the conference. All transfers from TRIBE hotel to venues related to the conference will be arranged by the Conference Secretariat.

Registration fee
There is no registration fee required for the conference.
Conference Languages
Conference Language is English. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for French and Portuguese.

Partipants who require a visa are requested to obtain their visa directly from the Kenyan Embassy in their country. If you need any assistance concerning visa, please contact the Conference Secretariat. We will provide an offical letter of invitation upon request.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Citizens from certain countries cannot obtain visa on arrival but must do so prior to their arrival in Kenya. If you need to get a visa before leaving your country, please contact the Kenyan Embassy in your country immediately. If you require, we will be happy to help you with an “acceleration letter” that you can give to the embassy.

Nationals of any other country which does not appear above may obtain a visa by applying at the Kenyan embassy or consulate in their respective country, or upon arrival at the point of entry in Kenya. If you apply for a visa at the port of entry, you will not need a photograph.

You are strongly advised to ensure that you have the necessary personal health and travel insurance. We also recommend that you visit a health-care professional prior to your trip to see whether you need to obtain any vaccinations or other medicines that may be required.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON YELLOW FEVER
Currently tourists from Europe, North America, Canada and Japan do not require yellow fever and cholera vaccination certificates to enter Kenya. Travelers from areas prevalent with yellow fever and cholera are required to have vaccination certificates.
